Who are we?
The WMU Community garden connects people of all ages in the Kalamazoo area. We host many types of gardeners, most of whom are Western Michigan University alumni, students, staff, faculty, or honored guests of the Kalamazoo community. Currently, garden is being run at a limited scale due
to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The garden was established in 2010 by a Western Michigan University student group called the Student Garden Organization. While management has changed hands since then, the garden has grown to attract a diverse sampling of the greater Kalamazoo community.
